A paradise for food-lovers
The town of Frome is now renowned for its fantastic food and the Frome Show is mirroring this trend. We feature myriad tradestands around the show and in our Local and Fine Food Halls which boast almost every mouth-watering treat imaginable.
We’ve decided that 2016 is the year of the Bake Off at the Frome Show. If the BBC has Mary Berry, then we have rustled up three famous (but currently secret) celebrities who have been charged with the task of cooking up a dish with cheese at its heart. Come and watch their successes — or maybe disasters — in the Cheese Pavilion, all under the watchful eye of our celebrity chef/chief judge Josh Eggleton.
Josh Eggleton sprung to prominence when representing the South West in the finals of BBC 2’s Great British Menu. He runs the popular The Pony & Trap pub with his sister, Holly. Prior to this role, he worked with some of the finest chefs in the world, which led to him being awarded his first Michelin star in 2011 — one of the youngest chefs ever to hold the accolade. Josh loves local food and sources many of his pub’s supplies from within 20 miles. Watch him cook on Saturday 10 September in the Cheese Pavilion, where he will also be judging our exciting new Cheese-themed Celebrity Bake Off competition.
