Dairy products go global
The Global Cheese Awards takes place on the Thursday preceding the Frome Cheese Show, where a raft of cheeses, from farmhouse cheddar to feta, gorgonzola and roquefort, come before a huge band of judges, each manufacturer seeking a gold rosette. This year there will be a greater focus on products from artisan producers, so these are exciting times for small firms. While the judging will have been completed by the time the 20,000-plus visitors come to the West Woodlands site on Saturday 9th September 2017, many of the cheeses from Thursday’s Global Cheese Awards will still be available for the general public to try and buy.
For those interested in exhibiting, why not also book a ticket to Thursday evening’s canapé reception and prize-giving dinner, with the food once again provided by renowned catering company A Bit of a Do.
